Project Essence
Burgess Cellars, a gem within the Lawrence Wine Estates portfolio, stands as one of Napa Valley's most venerable privately-owned wineries. With a legacy steeped in authenticity and a forward-thinking approach to regenerative farming, Burgess Cellars is a beacon of heritage and innovation.
The Living Room
The Living Room at Burgess Cellars redefines the wine-tasting experience. It replaces the traditional, subdued tasting rooms with a series of six elegantly appointed seating areas that radiate warmth and conviviality. At the core of this inviting interior is a grand fireplace, surrounded by an exquisite selection of art, fostering an atmosphere ripe for relaxation, engaging conversations, and a deepened appreciation for wines.
The Veranda
Stepping out onto the veranda, guests are greeted with sweeping panoramic views that foster community and connection. The outdoor gardens, reminiscent of Provence yet distinctly Californian in their rustic refinement, offer a serene setting for guests to enjoy the estate's wines beneath the gentle shade of olive trees. The design thoughtfully encapsulates luxury with a conscience, with open, light-filled spaces that celebrate the bond with nature and the spirit of dialogue that good wine and beautiful surroundings inspire.
Scope Of Work
Lounge Area: Custom-crafted curved seating in white oak, complemented by custom bar and shelving units, and white oak column wraps, all harmonizing with faux beams and architectural millwork veneer paneling.
Veranda, Terrace, Garden & Entrance: Custom metal handrails, Juliette balconies, and ornamental stair handrails enhance the beauty and safety of outdoor spaces. The entrance is marked by a custom gate entry, showcasing mortise and tenon construction with clear western red cedar, supported by an internal steel frame structure and industrial-grade hinges for longevity and elegance.
Landscape Accents: The winery landscape is adorned with custom metal trellises, arbors, and ornamental metalwork, including unique Moon Trellises that add a touch of artistry to the vineyard's natural beauty.
Craftsmanship
Interior: The lounge's custom furniture, including curved wood seating and banquette seating, along with wood slat column wraps and oak millwork, reflects the artisanal spirit of the winery.
Exterior: The veranda and entrance's custom metalwork, from the driveway gates to the circular arbors, is a testament to the meticulous attention to detail and the harmonious blend of form and function that characterizes Burgess Cellars.
